UP: Woman Gangraped By Government Employees

Three persons, including two government employees, allegedly gangraped a 30-year-old woman in the district, police said on Saturday.

An FIR was lodged, on Saturday, against collectorate employee Ram Sagar, clerk Ramesh Pande and another person Haseen on the basis of an inquiry into the allegations levelled against the accused in a complaint by the victim on July 14, they said.

The woman, in her complaint to Superintendent of Police Piyush Mordia, had alleged that three persons had allegedly raped her on the pretext of providing house under a government scheme, police said.

After that, the SP ordered an inquiry by area Circle Officer, they said. 15 other persons were also booked for allegedly harassing the victim and colluding with the accused, police said.
